Oklahoma City has grown over the years but with all the changes its good to see some things are still around and as good as ever.
Science Museum Oklahoma has been in Oklahoma City since its founding in 1958. It has remained a great place for the entire family to learn about science from playing and experimenting with hands on displays and exhibits.
I have fond memories of visiting the museum when I was just a kid. I remember the giant teeth, the dinosaur skeleton and all the fun outer space exhibits! It was exciting to share those exhibits with my son as well as exploring the newer exhibits.
In 2015 the museum opened CurioCity which according to the Science Museum Official Website the exhibit “is larger than 95% of the stand-alone children’s museums in the nation.”
.
CurioCity was by far my son Cash’s favorite part of the museum. It had many elaborate displays such as a giant playground tunnel system covered with gizmos and gadgets and a cave with a large sand area for digging fossils and much much more.
The museum also has a planetarium and a stage where they show many great things.
We enjoyed the Science Live show where a scientist with lots of help from the audience displayed and taught us about the forces of science! Access to Science Live is included with ticket admission.
We greatly enjoyed our full day at the museum and will be making a trip back for more science fun!
