What’s there to do in Oklahoma? Taste locally made candy at American Inheritance Confectionery in Coweta, Oklahoma.
Why do think it’s one of the best chocolate shops? There are many reasons we think it’s the best.
1. It’s Made Locally.
Ronnie Watchorn knows a thing or two about making unique and original chocolates.
His shop, American Inheritance, has an assortment of hand made chocolates all made within his store.
2. They Are Delicious.
Seriously delicious. I’m literally craving some chocolate dipped marshmallows while writing this.
You can find so many different chocolates and snacks at the store.
Some of our families favorites from American Inheritance Confectionery are the Roosevelt (fireball infused caramel), Huck Finn (Crunchy Peanut Butter and Jelly), S’mores Chocolate Dipped Marshmallow, Cookies and Cream Fudge and The Jefferson (Tennessee Honey Whisky Infused Caramel).
3. The Candies Inspire Learning.
Many of the candies are named after historical figures or fictional characters that are important to American Culture and History.
The names of the candies inspire curiosity and learning. With candies like The Roosevelt, The Jefferson, Tom & Huck, Jim Thorpe and Martha Washington you may just spark an interest in learning.
Talking with Ronnie about the Roosevelt we learned that Roosevelt was the man who started Boy Scouts. Also my oldest son asked about Jim Thorpe. Jim Thorpe was a Native American from Oklahoma, and he was the first Native American to win a Gold Medal in the Olympics.
Who would have guessed a candy shop would inspire such interest in American History?
4. The Candy is Available in Different Shops Across Oklahoma.
You must make a trip out to Coweta to try out these delicious treats. Or, if you don’t find yourself in Coweta, you can buy some American Inheritance Candies in Tulsa at other locations. Currently you can find some of these delicious treats at the Mother Road Market, Ida Reds, and Buck Atoms, with more shops coming soon.
5. The Cocoa is sourced from Certified Fair-Trade Companies.
What does that mean? It means you don’t have to worry that the cocoa was produced by children or forced labor.
