I’m about to make a very bold statement. Blue Cow Ice Cream Co is my favorite ice cream I have had so far. Let me tell you why.
It all started out on our adventure from Oklahoma to a Pennsylvania with everywhere in between. (You can find out all about that family adventure here) We randomly stopped at Blue Cow Ice cream In Roanoke, Virginia.
After lunch at the Fork in the Market we stopped by the store across the street. They suggested we stop by the Blue Cow Ice Cream Shop and enjoy a view of the Roanoke Star.
We were pretty full from the delicious pizza and food we had at Fork in the Market (find out more about our experience there here) but the kids are always ready for ice cream.
Upon entering Blue Cow Ice Cream Co. we were hit in the face with a delicious smell of waffle cones being created. It was heavenly.
The Ice Cream was all made locally and very creamy and smooth compared to others we have tried.
They had multiple unique flavors and cone options.
I had the Cow Pie flavor which had dark chocolate ice cream, with butterfingers and Oreos. I’m not usually a dark chocolate fan or even chocolate but I love trying specialties at local restaurants and dessert places. It was so smooth, creamy, and flavorful. I wish we had a Blue Cow Ice Cream Co. in Oklahoma.
Kayla had the Banana Pudding she said “it was bomb, so good”
Cash had the cookies and cream and Cale had the mint chocolate chip because it was his favorite color green.
It was a great stop on our family road trip. For more info on Blur Cow Ice Cream Co check out their official site here.
The Area surrounding Blue Cow Ice Cream Co was very scenic. So it’s a great place to sit back snd enjoy ice cream.
There is plenty of parking and it’s a great place to see the famous Roanoke Star.
Roanoke was a great stop on our trip and we hope to visit again someday to explore more.
