If you visit Phoenix I highly recommend you stopping by the Desert Botanical Garden.
We were very impressed with the Garden. It was one of the highlights from our trip.

5. The Variety
We admired the collection of plants and varieties of cacti that inhabit the desert ecosystem.
Other than cacti, there were many succulents, trees, flowers and a herb garden as well.
4. The Different Areas of the Garden
There are many sections of the Desert Botanical Garden. Many separate loop trails and sub sections of the garden that made our trip worthwhile.
Some of our favorite areas were the hummingbird and butterfly gardens and the Plants and People of the Sonoron loop trail.
3. The Wildlife
The gardens are home to many creatures. During our visit we saw ground squirrels, lizards, hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies.
2. The Educational Aspect
We learned so much during our visit. The signs were highly educational and informative.
Seeing how the Sonoran Desert People survived and used the plants in their environment was very interesting. It was an unexpected area we were excited to explore and learn about.
1. The Gift Shop
The Gift Shop has a wide variety of gifts for anyone and everyone. You can even buy some plants and start your own garden!
Overall we Loved our visit to the Desert Botanical Garden!
