We arrived a weekend in late January 2023.

There are many Reasons to book a stay at the Cabin on 40 Acres but here’s our Top 5.

5. The Location

The cabin is located on 40 acres and only 45 minutes from South Tulsa.

It’s a great destination if you are from the Tulsa area, OKC or even a visitor from out of state.

The area is private and wonderfully maintained.

Before and after you have enjoyed the great outdoors this cozy cabin is a great place to relax.

The cabin has WiFi and many streaming apps available to use, along with a variety of board games, a wood burning stove, electric heaters and more

The beds were extremely soft and comfortable. Each bed has super soft mattresses, pillows and comfortable sheets.

Our boys loved bunking together in these bunk beds! There is also a pull out bed underneath the bottom bunk.

The cabin’s interior is a major reason to stay here. It is stunning and has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. It can sleep up to 9 and has everything you need for a family getaway.

The main living room is a great place to hang. This is where we spent most of our time inside. There was plenty of seating that accommodated our family. .

The kitchen area has everything you would need to cook or grill. Working around the kitchen to prep mealtimes was completely stress free.

They have a generously semi stocked pantry, large fridge, an oven, toaster, and an air fryer – among many other necessities.

3. The Yard, Fire Pit Area and the Pond.

The yard is a perfect place to play and or relax. There are a couple hammocks next to the fire pit that also has a great view of the pond. This was perfect for lounging after a hike in the woods.

The large fire pit comes complete with chairs and wood and the hosts include a s’mores package for all guests!

Just outside of the cabin is a beautiful pond. We loved skipping rocks and exploring around it. We also had our boys bring their fishing poles to practice their cast.

They also have many outdoor games including corn hole, axe throwing (kiddie kind), archery (kiddie kind) along with other fun games as well.

2. The Hiking Trails

One of the highlights of staying here is the beautiful 40 acres of land.

The land is wonderfully maintained and they currently have 3 hiking trails with a fourth on the way.

The hiking trails were superb. They were well marked and easy to follow. We ran into a stream and could see a small portion of the Arkansas Rive from afar.

We thought all of the trails were fun and doable even with young children. The Bear Trail does include boulders and steep hills but we made it through, easily.

We loved exploring the hiking trails and were amazed at the variety of characters throughout the trails. Hidden within some of the trails, we found trolls, fairies and other surprises along the way.

These fun mystical creatures made our boys extra excited to get outside and hike. We hiked the trails all three days we were on the property. Each day we hiked all three trails and it took us about 45 minutes.

There’s also a couple cozy hammocks spots set up throughout the trails as well.
