5. The Location
Black Forest Inn B&B is in a perfect location.
It’s nestled in the Black Hills just a short scenic drive just minutes from Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park and other popular areas.
4. The Owners
Shelly and Todd are the owners of the Inn and are such welcoming and friendly hosts.
They instantly felt like family and were so good with our boys.
They know the area well and made excellent suggestions that helped us see much more of South Dakota than we were expecting and saved us time by helping plan out a few of our travel days.
The boys were so reluctant to leave, but once we finally had to part ways – they decided to give their stuffed animal souvenirs some very special names in respect to our wonderful hosts.
3. The Breakfast
It wouldn’t be a Bed & Breakfast without the Breakfast. Shelly makes delicious breakfasts with a variety of options.
There’s something for the whole family even our boys enjoyed the breakfast options.
The coffee & tea selection is superb! It was something we looked forward to every morning and every night.
2. The Suites
The Suites are spacious, cozy and comfortable.
We stayed in the Garden Cove Suite. It has two beds, two bathrooms, a large couch and more.
We really enjoyed the private hot tub and patio. It was the perfect way to relax after a day of exploring.
Our room was so comfortable and so relaxing.

1. The Common Areas
The common areas are a wonderful way to meet other travelers.
They have a game room with a pool table, a large tv, a vast selection of dvd’s, board games and more.
The exterior spaces are scenic and relaxing. You will find an outdoor patio complete with a fire pit, chairs, tables corn hole boards, a Gazebo and more for you to enjoy the outdoors while on site.
Overall, Black Forest Inn Bed and Breakfast is an amazing place to stay. We highly recommend it.
