5 Reasons to pick a Riu Hotel or Resort for your next all inclusive vacation
Riu Hotels and Resorts is the best choice when going on an all inclusive vacation or holiday!
Riu has everything you could wish for when staying at an all inclusive hotel or resort for a romantic getaway, family vacation or solo trip. I recently stayed at Riu Palace Costa Rica with my wife on a romantic getaway and we are already planning to return with our son Cash for a family holiday / family vacation someday soon!
Here’s our top 5 reasons why:
1. Stunning locations –
Riu has the best locations for their hotels and resorts. We stayed at Riu Palace in Costa Rica and got to enjoy their neighboring resort Riu Guanacaste. It was on the beach surrounded by lush jungles. We enjoyed the wildlife surrounding the beach, and the relaxing well staffed pools, restaurants and bars.
2. Amazing rooms –
We expected the rooms to be nice but were pleasantly surprised when we found out our room had a Jacuzzi tub. The layout was nice, great view from the balcony and we loved every part of our room.
3. Delicious food –
We ate at all of the restaurants and enjoyed each of them. Different things for different tastes. No matter what you are into they will have something you will love eating. The bartenders also know how to make delicious special drinks if you ask.
4. Great entertainment and activities –
The majority of the shows at night are entertaining and more than you would expect. They have some elaborate stunts and performances that are more than the typical song and dance at resorts. The day time activities are a blast, we played volleyball and water polo almost every day and we also participated in the many contests and activities where we learned and experienced so much!
5. Wonderful staff –
One of my favorite things about traveling is getting to know the locals. The Resort staff instantly clicked with us and we got to know them on a what felt like a deeper level than just employee/customer. They seemed to genuinely care about our experiences through our stay and through the wonderful technology of the Internet & social media we actually keep in touch with some of the staff to this day.

Reason #6. You can use your American Airlines frequent-flier miles to book your stay — at least, that’s what we did in 2010 at the Riu Cancun. Five nights and three round-trip tickets cost us around 200K miles all together, but then we were able to pour our cash budget into sightseeing, scuba, and multiple spa services. Best almost-free vacation ever!!! 🙂
That is awesome! I will have to look into frequent flier miles and things like that. We usually road trip to all our destinations , but since we have started traveling out of the U.S. with plans for more international trips that would be great help!
I stayed at a RIU in Jamaica and agree with you on all counts!
Glad to hear! I can’t wait to experience the other Riu resorts!
