10. Get the official Hershey Park App
The Mobile app is a must have. They don’t offer paper maps so you will need the app to easily navigate the park.
You can also see wait times for rides, and much more from the app.
9. Use the Hershey Park Preview Plan
After you purchase your tickets you can present them on the evening before the date of your ticket. It gives you 2 hours of bonus fun at the park.
It’s a great way to preview the park and make a plan for the next full day.
I wish we had known about this before.
8. Do the Hershey’s Chocolate Tour (outside of the amusement park)
Just outside of the park is a massive Hershey Store complete with a few rides and tours.
Most of the rides have individual costs but there is a free chocolate factory tour.
It’s a family tradition for us and you get a free piece of candy after the tour ride.
7. Get the All Day Dining Deal
We recommend getting an All Day Dining Deal or a few of them depending on your group size.
We got two passes and shared them between the four of us.
Plan to get some food every two hours to make the most of the deal.
The food at Hershey park is delicious and we loved everything we tried.
6. Get the All Day Drink Deal
The All Day Drink Deal is amazing. For $17.75 you get unlimited refills all day every 10 minutes.
This includes slushees (iccees) frozen drinks as well.
5. Get the Photo Pass
One thing I really regret is not getting a photo pass.
The faces our family make on the roller coasters were hilarious. If you do the math on the cost of a few digital photos vs the cost of a photo pass you will see it’s worth getting the pass.
You get access to all of the photos from all the rides with cameras for $37.10.
Next time we will most definitely be getting the photo pass.
4. Plan for more than one day at Hershey Park
One day is not enough.
Especially if you have younger kids or plan on going to the water park.
Our next visit we have to do multiple days the water park looked amazing and we could have spend a full day on the water rides.
There’s also many rides and we want to ride them all.
2. Plan out your rides
It’s no fun waiting in a super long line. There’s a few ways to plan your riding experiences.
Fast Pass is obviously the fastest way to ride. If you can’t afford the fast pass don’t fret, you can plan out your rides. Use the app to find the slow wait times and plan on staying all day.
During our visit we noticed the park was more busy in the morning and slowed way down in the evening.
When arriving it might be best to go to the back of the park and work your way back to the front. It seemed like many visitors lined up at the rides near the entrance so the back of the park was fairly empty early in the day.
1. Plan to Buy some Sweet Souvenirs
The Souvenir shops at Hershey Park have a large variety of candy, décor, clothing and more.
Our boys loved getting some goodies at the gift shops.
Bonus Tips
Where to Park at Hershey Park
Parking can be a challenge because there are multiple lots.
We had multiple cars in our group initially going to the wrong lot.
Be sure to follow signs for Hershey park and not the other Hershey area attractions.
